State Legislators who represent Sammamish were among the best in terms of showing up for floor votes during the 2014 session.

In the 45th District, Rep. Roger Goodman (D) missed 7 votes while Sen. Andy Hill (R) and Rep. Larry Springer (D) missed zero.

All three lawmakers from the 41st District, Sen. Steve Litzow (R), Rep. Judy Clibborn (D) and Rep. Tana Senn (D) missed no votes.

The missed votes report is compiled annually by WashingtonVotes.org, a website that provides non-partisan explanations of lawmakers votes and of bill in the Legislature.

The website cautions that legislators may miss votes for a variety of reasons, such as illness or family emergencies. It also notes that members of each party’s leadership often miss votes as they sometimes meet during floor sessions.

According to the report, this year’s top vote missers were Sen. Michael Baumgartner (R-Spokane) who missed 87 votes and Rep. Christopher Hurst (D-Enumclaw) who missed 98.
