Hop to Signaroo, a three weeks series for 3 to 12 months old babies and their parents, will help teach sign language to the infants. The classes are at 11 a.m. Feb. 26 at the Sammamish Library. There are space and age limits, so numbered passes are available 10 minutes prior to the event.

Celebrate Our World, for children 3 and older with an adult, lets children get a passport stamped as they travel around the world and learn about traditions, play games and make crafts at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Sammamish Library. First-come, first-seated.

 

Want to see the best of Europe on a budget? Travel writer James Ullrich will give a presentation about where to stay and what to see from 7-8 p.m. March 5 at the Sammamish Library.

A Free Electronics Recycling event sponsored by the Eastlake High School Fast Pitch Booster club is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 8 at Eastlake. The Mother-Daughter book club, for girls 10-13 and their mothers, will discuss ‘Rules’ by Cynthia Lord from 1-2 p.m. March 9 at the Sammamish Library.

 

Author Jamie Ford will be on hand to discuss his books from 7-8 p.m. March 11 at the Sammamish Library.

 

Simple Measures, featuring the duo of Rajan Krishnaswami on cello and Mark Salman on piano, will perform sonatas for cello and piano by Poulenc and Strauss at 7:30 p.m. March 18 at Sammamish Presbyterian Church. The event is free and sponsored by the Sammamish Arts Commission and 4Culture.

 

The Samm-amish Book Club will discuss ‘I, Robot’ by Isaac Asimov from 7-9 p.m. March 19 at the Sammamish Library.

The Harry Potter Reading Club, for ages 10-14 will discuss ‘Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban’ from 4:30-5:30 p.m. March 20 at the Sammamish Library.

 

Eastside Catholic students will perform the musical ‘Guys and Dolls’ at 7 p.m. March 20, 21 and 22 and 6 p.m. March 23 at the Skyline High School Auditorium. Tickets are $10, or $8 for students with an ASB card from any school.

 

 

Sequen-tial Reaction: A History of the American Comic Book will delve into the history of comics from 7-8 p.m. March 26 at the Sammamish Library.

 

The Lake Washington School District’s annual Legacy for Learning fundraising luncheon is set for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 23 at Juanita High School. For more information or to register, visit www.lwsf.org.
