Hop to Signaroo, a three weeks series for 3 to 12 months old babies and their parents will help teach sign language to the infants. The classes are at 11 a.m. Feb. 19 and 26 at the Sammamish Library. There are space and age limits, so numbered passes are available 10 minutes prior to the event.

Start to Fitness – Reducing Stress Through Meditation will be a presentation by Ajili Hodari to discuss the potential of meditation to reduce stress-related responses, improve concentration and enhance clarity of thought and mental equilibrium at 7 p.m. Feb. 19 at the Sammamish Library.


The adult book club meets at 7 p.m. Feb. 19 at the Sammamish Library. Contact the library for this months’ book.


The Mother Daughter Book Club, for girls ages 10-13 and their mothers, will discuss ‘Paint the Wind’ by Pam Munoz Ryan at 11 a.m. Feb. 22 at the Sammamish Library.

Start to Fitness – Cooking Your Local Produce a presentation by Greta Hardin is for all the people who ever walked up on a farm with a handful of vegetables and asked “What do I do with this?” and for all the parents who were just as excited as their children to learn how potatoes grow. 7 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Sammamish Library.


Celebrate Our World, for children 3 and older with an adult, lets children get a passport stamped as they travel around the world and learn about traditions, play games and make crafts at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Sammamish Library. First-come, first-seated.


A Free Electronics Recycling event sponsored by the Eastlake High School Fast Pitch Booster club is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 8 at Eastlake. Bring recyclables, working or not, to the school for drop off. Eastlake’s softball team is accepting donations at the event. Visit for a list of recyclables.


Simple Measures, featuring the duo of Rajan Krishnaswami on cello and Mark Salman on piano, will perform sonatas for cello and piano by Poulenc and Strauss at 7:30 p.m. March 18 at Sammamish Presbyterian Church. The event is free and sponsored by the Sammamish Arts Commission and 4Culture.
