Thank you, Doug Eglington

When Doug Eglington joined the Lake Washington School Board, George Bush was president – the first George Bush. In the 24 years since, Eglington, of Sammamish, has put in countless hours serving the community and working to improve the schools in the Lake Washington district.

He hasn’t stopped there, serving on the statewide group representing school boards to help improve schools across Washington. Beyond that, he’s worked with community groups such as the Sammamish Kiwanis to help improve lives in Sammamish.

Both the Lake Washington School District and the community at large owe Eglington, who will soon retire from public service, a debt of gratitude.

Thank you, Doug, you’ve earned some time off. You have made a difference.
