Medicare made clear, a presentation to describe essentials of how basic Medicare works, is scheduled for 7 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Sammamish Library.

 

The Sammamish Symphony will perform a pair of Holiday Pops concerts. The first will be at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue. The second is set for 2 p.m. Dec. 8 at Eastlake High School. Both shows will feature holiday favorites and classical masterpieces. Holidays at the Hospital will feature a pancake breakfast, Santa Pictures and crafts from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 7 at Swedish Issaquah. The event is generally free, but the breakfast costs $5.95 per person.

 

The Skyline High School Booster Club will hold its 10th annual bazaar featuring crafts, a bake sale, entertainment and a raffle from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 7 at the school.

 

The annual live nativity scene, performed by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints is set for 7-9 p.m. Dec. 13 and 14 at the church at 922 216th Ave. N.E. the shows begin every 20 minutes.

 

Skyline High School’s play, ‘The Crucible,’ runs at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 11-13 and 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 14 at the school. General Admission is $8. Skyline High School Staff and Students pay $4.

 

The Mother Daughter Book Club, for girls ages 10-13 and their mothers, will discuss ‘My Basmati Bat Mitzvah’ by Paula Freedman at 1 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Sammamish Library.

 

The Sammamish Book Club will have a discussion of books and authors during their meeting at 7 p.m. Dec. 18 at the Sammamish Library. This month is a free read.

 

Learn about long-term care and how to protect your family from the financial burdens it can impose at 11 a.m. Dec. 21 at the Sammamish Library.

 

A puppet show based on Aesop’s Fables is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Dec. 30 at the Sammamish Library.
