Donald P. Stahl, of Sammamish, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at home. He was 78.
Mr. Stahl was born Monday, Dec. 3, 1934, in New York City. He was raised in New York and graduated from Newton High School in 1952. Following high school, he furthered his education at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, also in New York, graduating in 1957.
On March 5, 1957, Donald married Eleanor M. Christmann in Elmhurst, New York. They moved to the Seattle area in 1974 and settled on the Eastside.
Donald is remembered by his family and friends as a devoted husband and father who enjoyed skiing, fishing, travel and golf.
Survivors include his loving children Laura, Kevin and Kenneth; four grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends.
The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. In lieu of flowers, remembrances are suggested to the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
At his request, a private family gathering was held.
