Plateau athletes commit to colleges

Plateau athletes officially committed to play college sports Feb. 6 during the National Signing Day ceremony at Skyline and Eastlake high schools.

From the Skyline football team, Peyton Pelluer will play for Washington State University; Nic Sblendorio will join the team at Eastern Washington University; and Trevor Barney will take his talents to the University of San Diego.

From the Skyline soccer program, Lianna Simms will play for Washington State University; Anna DeWeirdt signed with the University of New Hampshire and Keleb Strawn will play at St. Martins University.

From Eastlake, Li Wang committed to play golf for the team at Yale; Michael Staudinger will play baseball for Azusa Pacific University; Madison Heck will join the Cornell soccer team; Sam Langston will play for the University of Nebraska Omaha’s soccer team and Mark Matula will play soccer for Drexel University
