Christa McAuliffe elementary School will hold its annual book rodeo from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan 30 and 31, and a half price sale from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 1. Most prices range from 50 cents – $2. Video games are $5.

Art Historian Susan Olds presents a visual introduction to steampunk — a modern take on Victorian era science fiction — from 7-8:30 p.m. Jan. 30 at the Sammamish Library.

 

The End of the Trail: How the western movie rode into the sunset is a program discussing how movies reflect the history and culture of their times from 7-8 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Sammamish Library.

 

Music, movement and language with Eli Rosenblatt will be a three-week series for children ages 2-6 starting at 11 a.m. Feb. 8, 15 and 22 at the Sammamish Library.

 

Make it a Clay Day, a free event for students with special needs, is scheduled for 1-3 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Sammamish Teen Center. Class size is limited. Pre-register and find out more by emailing agubata@ci.sammamish.wa.us by Jan. 31.

 

J.A. Jance, a New York Times bestselling author, and author of “Deadly Stakes” will be available at 7 p.m. Feb. 13 at the Sammamish Library.

 

The Sammamish Book Club will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 13 at the Sammamish Library.

 

Radical Robots will help children explore the world of robots. A session geared for children ages 5-8 is set for10 a.m. Feb. 23, and a program for children 8 and up for 11:30 a.m. Feb. 23 at the Sammamish Library.

 

A writing group for people 14 and up is at 7 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Sammamish Library.
