Sammamish voters who want to keep their eye on education funding discussions in Olympia will have a golden opportunity Jan. 22.
The League of Education Voters is hosting an education funding forum from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the King County Library Administration Building, 960 Newport Way N.W. in Issaquah.
Sen. Steve Litzow, a Republican who represents 41st District residents in the south half of Sammamish, will be on hand, as will Rep. Ross Hunter, a Democrat from the 48th District.
Litzow is heading the senate’s Early Learning and K-12 Education committee this year.
The forum will be “an opportunity to learn more about the competing visions for funding public education in Washington State,” according to a press release.
The forum is free, but organizers are asking attendees to sign up by emailing info@educationvoters.org.
