George Sausett Dickerson died from brain cancer complications on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, too early for all whom knew him. He was 36 years old. His sense of humor and deep love for friends and family will be missed.
He was born in Seattle, and lived the majority of his life in Sammamish. Growing up, he loved learning to hunt with this father and close friends. He also enjoyed playing baseball, among other sports, with his friends and schoolmates.

Throughout his life, George developed a multitude of lifelong friendships, which supported George throughout his eight-year struggle with cancer. In his early 20s, George developed a true passion for scuba diving.
He worked in the scuba industry, became a certified master and technical diver, and again developed many more strong friendships in the diving community.
Among George’s many talents, he was exceptionally gifted in the study of computers and database programming. In 2001, he graduated from the University of Washington with a major in computer science.
After graduation, George immediately started his career in the high-tech industry, working for many high-profile companies as a technical consultant. George also enjoyed spinning records on his turntables and was particularly passionate about techno-music.
In his late 20s, George purchased his first home, just minutes from where he grew up at his parent’s home on the Sammamish Plateau. In 2008, he married his wife, Erin Dickerson.
In their home, Erin and George enjoyed entertaining friends and family, and spending quality time with each other. George cherished the time he spent with his wife and loved ones. He will be deeply missed by many.
George is survived by his wife Erin, parents William III and Eloise, brother and sister-in-law William IV and Taryn, and brother Paul Lewis.
A memorial service will be held at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church, at 1121 228th Ave. S.E., Sammamish, Jan. 12, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Ivy Center of Advanced Brain Tumor Treatment, 747 Broadway, Seattle, WA 98122.
