For the 28th year, local boys scouts will collect you Christmas tree.

Scouts will be out in neighborhoods starting at 9 a.m. Jan. 5. Scouts request a donation of $15-30 per tree. The donation should be attached to the tree in a plastic sandwich bag.

The collection drive is the major fundraiser for scout troops on the plateau. Organizers estimate more than 200 scouts collected about 3,500 Christmas trees last year. For more information, visit www.scouttreedrive.org.
