He’s got a PowerPoint presentation tracking state funding to school districts across the state and will give you an earful on the ins and outs of the state’s education policy. He will wax poetic on the value of hard data in measuring what helps students succeed and which teachers aren’t helping.

The faces at the table and the exact numbers have changed, but the fundamental conflict is the same.
For the last two years, Eastside Fire & Rescue officials have pushed to add King County Fire District 27 – a rural, volunteer-heavy district covering Fall City – as a partner in the agency. Sammamish representatives, already concerned with the growing costs of its EFR bills, wonder what they’ll get in exchange for the tens of thousands more they might potentially pay if Fall City is added.

Ashley Fitzgibbons wins girls 8-11 state golf title

By the way things went in the first round, Ashley Fitzgibbons, 11, of Sammamish, was not on track to win her age group a the WJGA state golf championship July 28-30.
