Lake Washington schools have clean audit

A state audit found no problems with the Lake Washington School District.
Auditors examined cash receipts, district computers and other district expenses between September 2008 and August 2009.
The audit also noted that the district had resolved bookkeeping irregularities noted in last year’s federal audit, including improperly covering a special education cost with money from a federal grant instead of a state grant and failing to verify that two teaching assistants had graduated high school.
