Issaquah had taken a 12-point lead into halftime, but led by just six points with just over three minutes remaining.
“We tried to shut down Alyssa (Charlston) and (Kendra) Morrison, and it didn’t work too well,” said Issaquah head coach Kathy Gibson.
Issaquah still made things happen on defense.
“We executed well in the first half,” said senior Maddey Pflaumer. “We capitalized on turnovers and created more offensive opportunities for us.”
Eastlake’s Morrison scored 26 points, leading all scorers and Charlston finished with 14.
Issaquah’s Blaire Brady had 16, Mendoza had 12, Taryn Holmes finished with 11 and Pflaumer had 10.
