Local athletes make All-KingCo teams

Twelve local high school girls soccer players and two golfers made their respective All-KingCo 4A teams for the fall season. The top honor for local soccer players, KingCo 4A Player of the Year, went to Eastlake senior midfielder Lindsay Elston.
Elston has seven goals and six assists as of Nov. 6
Elston and teammates, senior defender Courtney Pixler and senior forward Allie Beahan, all made the first team All-KingCo 4A.
Skyline’s senior goalkeeper Jill Stika, junior defender Brittanee Randle and junior midfielder Madi Barney also made the first team.
Another five players made the second team.
Eastlake’s Ann Heine, a junior defender, and Candice Osei-Agyemang, a senior forward, were voted to the team.
And three Lady Spartans made the second team: sophomore defender Dom Randle, senior midfielder Anna Morgan and senior forward Emily Anderson.
Honorable mention players from Eastlake: Michelle Frazier, Abby Frenkel, Savannah Gunning, Bryce Kennedy, Jami Marzano, Kellie Shreve and Jaclyn Softli. Skyline’s honorable mention: Coral Anderson, Emily Baer, Michelle Bretl, Meighan Hawks, Kayla Shim and Tina Vargas.
After a successful freshman season at Eastlake, golfer Li Wang was voted to the first team All-KingCo 4A, as was Skyline sophomore Darius Lalier. Three more Skyline golfers — senior A.J. Taylor, junior Nathan Stephenson and senior Jordan Windsor — earned honorable mention. Eastlake junior Evan Alston also made the honorable mention list.
