Police are investigating a dead body found in Lake Sammamish, north of Sammamish city limits.

Jim Bove, public information officer for the Redmond Police Department, said very little is known about the body, as of yet.

A woman called police at about noon Oct. 28 about a body she saw floating in the water. She told police she could see the body from a dock in Redmond’s Lakewood Shores Condominiums on the 3800 block of 175th Avenue Northeast, Bove said.

Bove said the body appeared to be an older white male, but police did not who it was.

“We have no idea,” he said. ”It’s still extremely early at this point.”
