Eastlake football will continue in the playoff race.

The Wolves came from behind to beat Newport 14-7 in the second game of a three-team KingCo 4A playoff Oct. 27 at Lake Washington High School.

The win puts Eastlake in a match-up against Inglemoor at noon Saturday at Pop Keeney Stadium in Bothell. The winner will grab one of the league’s four playoff spots.

The Wolves struggled early and fell behind to the Knights, who beat Redmond 6-0 in the first two-quarter game. But Eastlake quarterback Kelby McCorkle helped the Wolves tie the score at seven when he completed an 8-yard touchdown pass to Cameron Hunt. Hunt subsequently scored the winning touchdown on a 36-yard run.
