John David Hardin

John David Hardin, of Sammamish, died March 8, 2009, in Torrance, Calif, from diabetes complications while taking care of his mother’s affairs after her recent passing. He was 48.John was born Feb. 10, 1961 in Inglewood, Calif., the only child of Dorothy and Jack Hardin. He grew up in California and graduated from North High School, in Torrance, Calif. 

He earned his associate of arts from El Camino College and graduated magna cum laude from California State University, Dominguez Hills in 1983, earning a bachelor of science in computer science. 

He has worked in the computer field for the last 29 years at such places as Hughes Aircraft Co. in California, CapGemini Consulting, Safeco Insurance, Eddie Bauer and King County.

In 1984, he married Tanya Eversole in Manhattan Beach, Calif. 

In 1988, John received a job offer in Seattle. 

After flying up and seeing what a wonderful area it was, he accepted and they moved to Sammamish.

Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting, fishing, snow skiing, water skiing, roller coasters and his dogs, which were always considered part of the family. 

He was always up for a new adventure, some of which were ballooning, parasailing, whitewater rafting and skydiving. 

He was a hard worker who took pride in his work and could always be counted on to get a job done quickly and accurately. 

He was well liked by both his co-workers and his clients. 

He had a great sense of humor, loved to joke around, was a loyal friend and was always there to help if friends or family needed it. He will be missed greatly.

He is survived by his wife, Tanya, his daughter Kacy and his son Sean.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. March 18 at Flintoft’s Issaquah Funeral Home followed by a funeral service.

Burial to follow at Upper Hillside Cemetery.

Following the burial there will be a gathering for friends and family in Sammamish.
