Winter storm creates dangerous conditions in Sammamish

News update Dec. 18 – 10:50 a.m.
Once again, both the Issaquah and Lake Washington school districts closed on Dec. 18, the second consecutive day of school closures.
As of 11 a.m., Sammamish City Hall has seen two inches of snow. The Planning Commission meeting Dec. 18 has been cancelled.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for a winter weather advisory until midnight and expects snow to fall through the morning hours totaling 1-3 inches.
Road conditions are difficult across the region. Roads are closed in many areas and abandoned vehicles can be found on many roadways. State and local transportation officials are warning motorists to stay off the roads.
The Washington Department of Transportation has posted travel information. King County has also prepared winter weather information.
