In late September, Redmond police were looking for a man who flashed several women on the East Lake Sammamish Trail.
He appears to have left his job and the area, Redmond officer Jim Bove said.
“Of course, there is no guarantee that it is the person,” Bove said. However, there have not been any incidents since the suspect’s departure.
Based on investigative work and phone calls from the community, police identified a suspect in early October.
By that time, he was gone, Bove said.
The encounters allegedly took place on secluded portions of the trail, from the 5900 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway in Redmond to Inglewood Hill Road in Sammamish, according to Redmond police reports.
Sammamish police did not field any complaints about a flasher, according to Sgt. Robert Baxter.
The women described the flasher as a Caucasian in his 40s or 50s, tan, about six feet tall with an athletic build and trim and thinning gray hair.
In the reports, he was either nude or wearing no shorts. He did not speak or approach any of the women.
While the suspect appears to have left, Bove said residents should continue to communicate with police if further problems arise.
