Nicholas Rollman, a Sammamish resident who attends the Overlake School in Redmond, has just completed the People to People World Leadership Forum.
Rollman, a sixth grader, attended the forum in Washington, D.C. Oct. 13-19. Students earn high school credit while studying leadership and exploring some of the nations monuments and institutions.
He also examined past examples of leadership in times of crisis and participated in discussions about leadership.
The program started in 1956 after being founded by President Dwight Eisenhower. For more information, visit www.wlfleaders.org.

Sammamish resident Alicia Kim has enrolled as a member of the Dartmouth University class of 2012. She is the daughter of Jung Kim and Hae Kim.
Dartmouth is the 7th oldest college in the nation and was founded in 1769.

 

 

Burnett, Gunderson marry

Lindsay Burnett and Ryan Gunderson, both of Maple Valley, were married Oct. 11, 2008, at Tibbetts Creek Manor, in Issaquah.
A reception followed at the manor.
Kent Buttars, of A Heavenly Ceremony in Seattle, officiated.
The bride, the daughter of Mike and Nancy Burnett, of Sammamish, is a 2000 graduate of Skyline High School.
The groom, the son of Brian and Sue Gunderson, of Maple Valley, is also a graduate of Skyline High School.
The couple honeymooned at Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico.
