Dance teams places seventh at USA hip-hop championship

A Seattle dance team, with two members from Sammamish, placed seventh at the USA Hip Hop Championships presented by Hip Hop International July 28-30 in Las Vegas.
The team, Phyzikal Graffi-T, made up of eight Seattle-area teens, competed against 26 other teams including Chicago, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Francisco.
Dancer and choreographer Kolanie Marks, an instructor at Connection Performing Arts Center in Mukilteo, lead the team.
Team members include: Dakota Harwood and Braidon Hobzek of Sammamish, Cortny Bourbonnais and Christie Schmidt of Newcastle, Alex Carlson-Helo of Mill Creek, Anika Haldorsen and Chloe Puff of Woodinville and Dylan Tizon of Edmonds.
