Chancey Anderson wins scholarship

Chancey Anderson, of Sammamish, has been awarded the Lynden Memorial Scholarship for 2008.
The $1,000 scholarship is given to children of Lynden Company employees. Eight scholarships were awarded for the 2008-2009 academic year.
Anderson, daughter of Dane and Carolyn Anderson, of Sammamish, is studying education at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn.

Lindsay Donohue makes deans list

Lindsay Donahue, a resident of Sammamish, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Scripps College in Claremont, California. Donahue is a Junior, majoring in Japanese.
Scripps College is the women’s college of the Claremont Colleges, an academic community of five undergraduate and two graduate institutions.
The dean’s list recognizes students who have achieved a grade point average of at least 11 (A-) in four, letter-graded courses in one semester.

Kimberly Evanson on deans list

Kimberly Evanson, a junior from Sammamish, was recently named to the Gonzaga University Dean’s List for spring semester 2008.
Evanson is a graduate of Eastlake High School Students must earn 3.5 to 3.69 to be listed.

Philip Chwaniec makes president’s list

Philip Chwaniec was named to the President’s List at Gonzaga University for spring semester. He graduated from Eastlake High School in 2007

Alexander William Moore, a junior from Sammamish, WA, was named to the Gonzaga University President’s List for Spring semester 2008. Students must earn a 3.7 or better grade-point average to be listed.

Michael Santoni graduates from Tufts University
Michael Santoni, son of Frank and Maureen Santoni of Sammamish, graduated in May from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. He will begin a general surgery residency in Livingston, N.J., in late June.
Santoni is a graduate of O’Dea High School, in Seattle, and received his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Washington.

Kenny F. Lin, a resident of Sammamish, has been named to the Dean’s List at Boston University for the Spring semester.

Christopher Scott and Ashley Lewis of Sammamish were named to the Dean’s List at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Ga.f for spring quarter 2008. Full-time undergraduate students who earn a grade point average of 3.5 or above for the quarter receive recognition on the dean’s list.

Kenneth Chalres Boman graduated cum laude from Central Washington University June 7 with a B.S. in industrial engineering technology. Boman is a 2004 graduate of Eastlake High School and is working at Wanapum Dam in Vantage.

Zane Johnson and Stephanie Malone, both of Sammamish, were recognized during the Linfield College, of McMinnville, Ore., honors convocation in May. Both were presented the Mahaffey Memorial Merit Scholarship for theater.

Samuel Hickey, a graduate of Eastlake High School, has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester at The College of Wooster in Wooter, Ohio. Hickey, a junior mathematics major from Sammamish, achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or above.

The following Washington State University students have earned undergraduate degrees for the spring 2008 semester. Honors earned by students are also listed as follows: summa cum laude for a cumulative grade point average of 3.9 or higher, magna cum laude for a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7 but less than 3.9 and cum laude for a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher but less than 3.7.
