Topping promoted
Holland America Line, has promoted Gerry Topping, of Sammamish, to senior director, human resources – North America. In this new role, Topping will direct the development and implementation of long-range programs and services of the cruise ship company’s land-based staffing, employee and labor relations.
Topping joined Holland America Line in March 1996 and has worked as the director of human resources, land-based, since that time. Before joining the company, Topping worked as a human resources professional at GENSTAR Corporation,
Rhône-Poulenc Incorporated and in management roles at Johnson & Johnson.
Topping holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Arts degree with emphasis in Executive Management from the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University.
Moffatt commissioned
John Moffatt, a 2004 graduate of Eastlake High School, has graduated from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance). On May 9, John was also commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in the United States Army.
He will assist the Gonzaga ROTC cadre this summer until November when he reports to Fort Benning, Ga. for Officer Infantry Training and Ranger School. John has qualified and earned both his Airborne Parachutist and Air Assault wings. Following Ranger School he will be assigned to his unit at Fort Carson, Colo.
